Tillage Farmers Hold Crisis Meeting Over Budget Concerns

A crisis meeting was held in the Killashee Hotel in Kildare.

The tillage sector is facing a significant challenge that cannot wait until next years Budget to be sorted.

That's the message from the IFA to the Agriculture Minister as around a thousand farmers attended a crisis meeting in Kildare's Killashee Hotel. which they say is one of their largest gatherings in years.

The body's main concerns involve Irish grain prices being undermined by cheap imports from outside the EU.
