A Tipperary man working in Laois has been recognised for captaining his county to All Ireland success.
Ronan Maher works at Portlaoise Garda Station and recently captained Tipperary to their first Liam McCarthy title in six years last month.
His colleagues held an event for the Thurles man at the Midlands Park Hotel yesterday, with the Little Blue Heroes being the special guests of honour.
The Little Blue Heroes Foundation was established in 2017, to support families of children with serious illnesses across Ireland.
