Believing that a new statutory body will fix the flooding issues along the River Shannon is too "simplistic" a view.
That's the opinion of the Minister for European Affairs and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke.
It comes as over 200 people protested at the weekend against problems caused by the river floods to local farmers.
The Fine Gael Deputy says there is no simple solution that will fix it:
