They want to make the case to Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke of leave during extreme weather events like Storm Eowyn.

A trade union is demanding a meeting with the Enterprise Minister over paid leave for workers during extreme weather.

Unite is calling for four days of paid climate leave, similar to that in Spain following last year's floods in Valencia.

The group want to sit down with Employment Minister and Longford Westmeath TD Peter Burke to outline its demands.
