The Longford Westmeath TD is chairing the Oireachtas Committee that is grilling RTE on its spending.
RTE's Director General's told an Oireachtas Committee the cost of a failed IT system was recorded in the broadcaster's accounts - but 'not clearly enough'.
RTÉ executives are being questioned at Leinster House as TDs examine how the broadcaster is being run.
The media committee is also looking at staffing, spending, and RTÉ’s new voluntary redundancy scheme.
