TUI Says State Should Pay For School Devices

Some schools are insisting students have their own digital devices.

The state should be paying for digital devices if schools require them, not parents.

That’s according to the General Secretary of the Teachers’ Union of Ireland.

It comes after some schools have demanded the purchase of digital devices, but Minister for Education, Hildegarde Naughton, says there's no requirement for students to have their own laptops for exams.
