The protest begins at 12:00pm today.

Students at TUS Midlands and the rest of country's technological universities will stage a walkout this afternoon.

Organised by Students' Unions, the protest is in response to what they call inadequate funding in Budget 2026.

They are calling for fairness, equality, and parity of funding within the TU sector.

The walkout will place at 12:00pm this afternoon.

President of the TUS Student Union Dara Lenihan says the Budget offered nothing positive for universities across the country:
