Gardai have confirmed the removal on a suspected pipe bomb at a home in Carlow Town.
Two men have been arrested after a suspected pipe bomb was found in Carlow.
The discovery was made yesterday afternoon at a home in the Kernanstown area of Carlow Town.
Occupants of the house were evacuated, and the Army Bomb Disposal Unit was called to the scene.
Gardaí have confirmed that a viable suspected pipe bomb was safely removed from the house.
The area has since been declared safe, and the two men are being held at a Garda station in Carlow.
