They'll appear before Athlone District Court this afternoon.
Two men have been charged in connection with an aggravated burglary in Westmeath.
The incident occurred at a house in St Peter’s Terrace, Athlone, yesterday at approximately 4:00am.
A man in his late teens and an a woman in her 50s were taken to Portiuncula University Hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at the time.
Both men in their 20s are due to appear before Athlone District Court today.
