Two men are due in court again today following a cocaine seizure worth 8.4 million euro in Westmeath.

After monitoring a light aircraft landing at Abbeyshrule Aerodrome in Longford last Thursday evening, Gardaí arrested 54 year-old Tim Gilchrist of Mavis Bank, Newrath, Waterford, and 41 year-old pilot Michal Lucsak of Primrose Avenue, Jigginstown in Naas, Co. Kildare.
Gardaí also intercepted two vehicles in the Lough Owel area, recovering 120kg of cocaine from one car, later that evening.
The pair was charged on Saturday evening - accused of possession of cocaine for sale or supply.
