Two Midlands Businesses Fined For Breaching Tobacco Legislation This Year

The events took place within the first six months of the year.

Two midlands businesses are among those which have been fined by the HSE for breaching tobacco legislation in the first six months of this year.

The Anvil Inn in Portarlington was handed a €500 fine under Section 45 of the Public Health Tobacco Act 2002 - it had a court date in February.

The pub was also removed from the register for two months.

A €500 fine was also issued to Dooly's Hotel in Birr, which had a court date in April - that business was removed from the register for a week.
