Two Midlands Community Groups Receive Sensory Garden Funding

Almost €80,000 is going towards providing the facilities for the community.

Two midlands community groups are being awarded thousands of euro to develop sensory gardens.

Coolrain Playground in Laois is receiving almost €60,000 from the Department of Rural and Community Development under the 2019 CLÁR programme.

Meanwhile, Raharney Community Park in Westmeath is being allocated €17,000.

The specialist gardens are educational and recreational places, designed to stimulate the senses, particularly for people with additional needs.
