Midlands Councils Fail To Spend Traveller Accommodation Fund

The Irish Traveller Movement is highlighting what it calls strong resistance to Traveller accomodation from some local councillors.

Less than a third of the €13 million euro allocated to local authorities for Traveller-specific housing has been spent so far this year.

Laois and Westmeath County Councils haven't drawn down any of their available funding, with Offaly using just over half of the €815,000 it was granted.
