Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident.
Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a shooting in a residential area of Co. Westmeath.
A number of shots were discharged in the Ardleigh Park area of Mullingar at around 1.40 pm yesterday. No injuries were reported.
Today Gardaí arrested two men in their late teens in connection with the incident and are being questioned in Co. Westmeath.
They are also appealing for anyone who was in the Ardleigh Park area of the town between 12.30 and 2.30 yesterday who may have witnessed the shots being fired to come forward.
Gardaí also want anyone driving in the area who may have dashcam footage to make it available to them.
