Uisce Éireann is appealing to the public to conserve water as over 51 water supplies across the country are now officially in drought status.
They are keeping a close eye on all of the water sources in County Offaly, since a number of them are highly susceptible to being drought-prone.
This covers supplies in County Offaly's Busherstown, Rahan, Lisduff, Clara, and Ferbane.
To maintain normal supply levels, Uisce Éireann has implemented a range of interventions, including tankering water to reservoirs, nighttime restrictions, and pressure management.
