Uisce Eireann Asks People In The Midlands To Conserve Water

The semi-state body want people to use watering cans instead of hoses.

Uisce Eireann is asking people across the Midlands over the summer months to conserve as much water as possible.

A hosepipe ban was put in place last year from May to October for homes and businesses relying on the Mullingar Regional Water Supply after water levels reached critivally low levels in Lough Owel.

The semi-state body want people to use watering cans instead of hoses, take showers instead of baths and to turn off leaky taps.
