Overnight water restrictions are being put in place in a Laois village.

Uisce Eireann is implementing them in Rosenallis from 11 pm until 7 am tomorrow morning, in order to allow treated water reservoirs to refill.

They say it may result in reduced pressure or temporary water interruptions for some customers

Uisce Eireann is advising the public to conserve water as much as possible by taking short showers instead of baths and turning off taps.
