A Ukrainian refugee is painting a mural in a midlands town.
Yana Koretza, who is a professional artist, has volunteered to complete the project while she is staying in Portlaoise.
The artwork will be based on local flora and fauna, biodiversity and sustainability, and will be situated along a river walk near the town park.
Secretary of the local Tidy Towns, Vincent Booth, says they are thrilled to have Yana on board:
