A vehicle has been seized by Gardaí in the midlands after the driver was found to have no insurance.
They were stopped by the Laois Roads Policing Unit, where it was discovered the motorist was displaying a valid disc, but a search on the new insurance database found the policy was taken out, then cancelled a month later.
The vehicle was seized and court proceedings have commenced against the driver.
