Over 700 people have been waiting for over 18 months for an outpatient appointment in Mullingar.
Close to 1,000 people have been waiting for over a year and a half for their outpatient appointment in the midlands regional hospitals.
The highest number in the region comes in Mullingar Hospital with over 700 people on waiting lists for longer than 18 months.
The remaining 201 are in Portlaoise Hospital, while no one has been waiting for longer than 18 months in Tullamore Hospital.
There are currently over 25,000 people on the outpatient waiting lists across the midlands, almost 3,900 of whom are children.
Nationally, over 570,000 outpatients are waiting to be seen, with over 45 thousand waiting for over a year and a half.
