Waiting Lists For Children's Mental Health Continue To Surge

Those looking to access CAMHS Services in Laois and Offaly are facing increased waiting times.

Waiting lists for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for health area CHO8, which covers Laois and Offaly, have shot up by 88% since 2020, according to new data from the HSE.

Over 70 children in the community healthcare area, are waiting a year or longer for their first appointment, and 113 have been waiting for longer than six months.
