Water Network Upgrades In Laois

These upgrades will reduce the risk of supply interruptions.

Uisce Éireann is confirming the completion of essential water network upgrades in Laois.

The upgrades will provide a resilient water supply on the Derry Road, Durrow, significantly strengthening the security and reliability of the local drinking water supply.

The project, delivered by Shareridge under Uisce Éireann’s National Leakage Reduction Programme, replaced more than 1km of ageing watermains with new, modern pipes.

Dave Murphy, Portfolio Manager at Uisce Éireann, says the completion of the works marks an important milestone for the community in Durrow.

“These upgrades will provide customers with a more secure and reliable water supply by eliminating existing leaks and strengthening the performance of the network. We would like to thank the local community for their patience and support as we carried out these essential works.”
