Water supply is returning in Athlone.
Water supply is returning to Uisce Éireann customers in parts of Athlone after the successful completion of connection works to newly installed water mains in the town.
The works are part of a major upgrade to strengthen Athlone’s water supply by upgrading the trunk water main that connects Athlone Town Water Treatment Plant to the Annagh Reservoir, and will provide a safer and more reliable water supply for homes and businesses in Athlone.
Michael McManus of Uisce Éireann thanked affected customers for their understanding while these works were being carried out. “We understand the inconvenience caused by an interruption to supply. We’d like to thank the community for their patience and co-operation while we carried out these works.”
