One Councillor has said he's been contacted by parents who are on extensive waiting lists for a school place for their child.
Schools are at maximum capacity, house building is going to continue to increase, and "we need to be ready."
That's the impassioned plea of Councillor Ken Glynn who's calling for a new school to be built in Mullingar.
The Fianna Fail rep says he's been contacted by parents who are finding themselves on extensive waiting lists.
He says families will continue to move to the town in the near future:
