'Pure Mule' - written by Edenderry's Eugene O'Brien - was a hit among viewers when it first appeared on RTÉ back in 2005.
It was set in a unnamed midlands market town, but filmed around Banagher and Birr.
The six-part series is making a comeback at 10.30 on RTÉ 2 tonight.
