We're Losing Teachers Due To Workload Schedule - TUI

Three out of four schools were unable to attract any applicants for advertised teaching roles last year.

Too many children are missing out on a full range of subjects at school. 

The Teachers' Union of Ireland says Government inaction is having a hugely damaging effect - with teacher retention now as big a challenge as teacher recruitment.

TUI President Anthony Quinn says a recent survey found 75% of schools advertised positions last year - for which no teacher applied.
