Introducing a framework to help fund technological universities build accommodation needs to be made a priority.
That's according to Westmeath councillor Frankie Keena, who has been lobbying for the Government to make the borrowing framework available to TU's, including TUS Athlone.
The Athlone Moate Municipal District will now send a correspondence on the issue to the Minister for Public Expenditure, as well as the Minister for Housing and Minister for Higher Education.
