Westmeath Councillor Waited Over 80 Minutes For Gardaí To Attend A Public Order Incident

He says Gardaí claim they only had one squad car available that morning.

Having to wait over an hour for Gardaí to arrive on the scene of an incident is not good enough.

Athlone Fianna Fáil councillor, Frankie Keena, says he waited one hour and 22 minutes in the early hours of the morning for Gardaí to attend a public order incident. 

One man presented to the Garda Station with a head injury before they were deployed.

There was also damage done to a vehicle.

Councillor Keena says Gardaí claim they only had one squad car available that morning:
