Westmeath County Council is already confirming they won't back Conor McGregor if he runs for the presidency.
A candidate needs the support of 20 TD's or four county councils in order to run.
Fianna Fail Councillor for Moate Vinny McCormack put forward a motion to write to the American Ambassador for Ireland condemning McGregor's St Patrick's Day visit to the White House.
It was changed to write directly to McGregor himself to let him know he wasn't welcome in their council chambers.
