Midlands MEP Nina Carberry hosted Kilbeggan Whiskey at the European Parliament in Brussels to mark 50 years of EU Japan relations.
Owned by Japan’s Suntory Global Spirits, the distillery highlighted strong Ireland, Japan trade links, now worth over €21 billion.
Ms Carberry believes there' a high value of EU trade agreements for Irish jobs, tourism and exports, particularly in the Midlands.
The event supports her International Trade Committee work promoting Irish businesses abroad.
