A new 24/7 McDonald's Drive-Thru is planned.
Planning permission has been granted for a new 24/7 McDonald's Drive-Thru in Westmeath.
The project was given the green light despite an appeal on the grounds of it being open 24 hours a day, that it is acting against the town centre first approach, and there was no mention of a takeaway or drive thru in a previous application for the same development.
The works will consist of a single storey drive-thru restaurant, with landscaping including an outdoor furniture/seating area with an associated corral area, elevational signage and accessible car parking spaces.
An Bord Pleanala has granted permission with a revised list of conditions.
