The latest data shows March was the busiest month with 52 call-outs.

The fire services in Westmeath have attended 144 incidents so far this year.

The latest data shows March was the busiest month with 52 call-outs, followed by January with 48 and February with 42.

Firefighters in Mullingar have been needed most, taking 65 calls in the first quarter closely followed by Athlone before a big drop off in Kilbeggan and Castlepollard.

There have been no fatalities as a result of a blaze in the Lake County thus far in 2021.
