Westmeath Fleadh Cheoil Appearing On TV Despite Covid Cancellation

The producer says they've put together something special for viewers at home.

The Fleadh Cheoil may not be going ahead in Westmeath this summer, but celebrations will still appear on TV.

The festival was due to return to Mullingar - where it began back in 1951 - but has been cancelled for the first time in its history due to covid-19.

Instead, TG4 will broadcast a series of programmes from the town from this evening until Sunday. 

David Power produced the event over four days in Mullingar.
