The race is open to individuals or corporate, family or sporting teams.
A Westmeath footballer has been named as digital ambassador for Grant Thornton's 5k race series.
The annual nationwide corporate challenge is taking place virtually again this year.
And Rosemount GAA star Boidu Sayeh is joining Olympian Derval O’Rourke and Connacht Rugby's Tom Daly as GT5K ambassadors.
The race is open to individuals and teams of four which can be made up of corporates, families, sports clubs and anyone who wishes to enter a team.
Participants are invited to complete the 5k at any point on September 8th and upload their time to a live leader board by midnight.
The professional services firm is also partnering with the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland to help raise funds for the charity.
More information and registration is available at grantthornton.ie/gt5k
