This comes as the new proposal would remove them.
We need our members at the table for internal hearings - that's the message from the Garda Representative Association in Westmeath.
The Justice Minister is set to bring in new regulations for the Gardaí, one of which, includes changes to the Garda board which manages disciplinary hearings and appeals.
The current setup has GRA members on the board but the new proposal would remove them from the process, leaving just an independent chairperson in place.
