A Westmeath garda station is open for 'business as usual' following an attack on the building.
It follows an incident of criminal damage at the Barrack Street station in Athlone on Sunday evening, where several windows were smashed, as well as windows on a garda patrol car and a garda van.
A man in his 30's was arrested and charged, and appeared before Mullingar District Court yesterday morning.
The station is open and the Temporary Public Office is sign posted through the Immigration Door.
