A Garda day of action in a Westmeath town targeted the illegal use of e-scooters across the town.
During the operation on Saturday in Mullingar, 11 e-scooters were seized and seven on-the-spot fines were issued for various offences.
Gardaí also seized a quantity of cannabis and a knuckle duster during the course of the checks.
The operation forms part of ongoing efforts to tackle the unlawful use of e-scooters and improve road safety.
Gardaí are reminding users that they have a duty of care to themselves and other road users and must ensure their e-scooter is road legal before using it on public roads.
