Her granddaughter has been left paralysed and needs upgraded housing facilities.

A Westmeath grandmother is picketing outside council offices, urging them provide a house that was promised to them.

12 year old Symone Rowley has been recently diagnosed with a rare spinal condition that's left her paralysed.

Her granny Rosaleen says they're still waiting for a wheelchair-accessible house from the local authority, despite being offered one in April.
