Westmeath Historian Asks Midlands Minsters To Push For Heritage Centre

Locals feel a heritage centre could be based out of a vacant property on Mullingar's Church Avenue.

A Westmeath historian wants Midlands Ministers to step up and push for the "once in a lifetime opportunity" to create a heritage centre in the county.

Locals have been pushing for the government to buy a vacant property on Mullingar's Church Avenue that has been put on the market by the local authority.

Jason McKevitt feels both the Junior Finance Minister and Tourism Minister can make a difference in getting the project over the line.
