Garrycastle Homes Ltd has submitted plans for a 75-unit housing development in Athlone.
A decision on a major Westmeath housing development has been delayed after the local authority requested further information.
Garrycastle Homes Ltd trading as Alanna Homes is seeking to build 75 new houses and apartments on a five-acre greenfield site at Kilnafaddoge in Athlone.
Westmeath County Council is asking the developers to include a dedicated open green space in their plans, saying it's ' a standard perquisite that cannot be reasonably overlooked.
They're also required to submit further information, including proposed future transport links, a speed ramp provision, a public lighting design, and a noise impact assessment report.
The local authority is giving the planners six months to comply with the notice.
