Westmeath Man At Centre Of Major Fundraiser Loses Cancer Battle

An online campaign raised almost a quarter of a million euro for Lee Wallace.

A twenty seven year old Westmeath man who was the centre of a major fundraising campaign has lost his battle with cancer.  

Mullingar's Lee Wallace was diagnosed with a rare form of bone sarcoma in his pelvis. 

Almost a quarter of a million euro was raised during an online campaign to help him get treatment during his illness. 

Mass for Lee will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon in Milltownpass.
