Westmeath Man In The Running To Become Next ICSA President

He's currently the Portlaoise-based group's Sheep Chairman.

A Westmeath man is among the contenders to take over the Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers' Assocation.

The Portlaoise-based organisation will announce President Edmond Phelan's successor at a virtual meeting of its executive at 7 o'clock this evening.

Lismacaffrey's Sean McNamara, who's currently Sheep Chairman, is going up against Munster Vice President, Dermot Kelleher from Cork.

The winner will take office at the ICSA AGM in January.
