Westmeath Man Sets Off On 1,100 Km Cycle For Charity

A Westmeath business man is setting off an 1,100 kilometre journey along Ireland's Ancient East to raise funds for a midlands charity. 

Alan Heaney and five other 'Ultra Cycllists' begin their journey in Derry this morning and will finish four days from now at the Old Head of Kinsale.

The money raised will go to Hooves 4 Hospice, which is fundraising for a midlands hospice.
