In April, Mullingar's Jane Swarbrigg was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.
A Westmeath mother of two is thanking her family, friends, and local community after they raised over €150,000 to help her travel to the US for a major operation.
Mullingar's Jane Swarbrigg received a diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer in April, which has spread to her liver and lungs.
She's heading to New York to get a special pump surgically inserted into her body to to deliver chemotherapy directly to her liver.
She will then have to fly to the States on a monthly basis treatment - and has a funding goal of €250,000.
Ms Swarbrigg says she's hopeful it will be a step forward in her journey:
