Westmeath Principal Says Review of Leaving Cert Calculated Grade System Is Needed

There was lots of uncertainty for students and teachers this year.

A Westmeath school principal says the Leaving Cert calculated grade system needs to be reviewed.

Brendan Waldron from Coláiste Chiaráin in Athlone admits the new model was the best we could have done in this year's circumstances.

But he says we need to be better prepared if the grading system needs to be used again in the future and early communication between the Department of Education and all stakeholders is needed:
