Westmeath Road Safety Campaigners Call For More Safety Equipment In Cars

It comes after a man in his 60s died on the roads after his van crashed yesterday morning.

The Irish Road Victims Association is calling for cars to be fitted with more safety equipment.

The Westmeath organisation's call comes as a man in his 60s is the latest to die on the roads after his van crashed in Dundrum County Dublin yesterday morning.

It followed two other road deaths in counties Wicklow and Cork over the weekend, bringing the total number of people to loose their lives on the roads already this year to 61.
