A number of students in the county missed their first week of school as a result of the issue.
A Westmeath school bus is set to run from today, after a paperwork issue has been resolved.
A number of students were forced to miss school in Columba College in Killucan and St. Tola's National School near Delvin, as a result of a wait time for a contractor to be Garda Vetted.
However, Bus Éireann has confirmed to Sinn Féin Councillor, David Jones, the bus can run from today.
He says the situation should've been sorted out months ago:
