Westmeath Sees Significant Jump In Homes Granted Planning Permission

The county was one of four to see increases of over 300 year-on-year.

Westmeath saw one of the largest jumps in the number of homes granted planning permission in the third quarter of last year.

The midlands county joins Limerick, Louth and Meath to see increases of more than 300 when compared to the same period in 2022, according to the Banking and Payments Federation of Ireland's latest report.

The Housing Market Monitor also shows more apartments were completed in the last two years than in the previous 10 years combined.
