Westmeath Student Helps Older People Through 'Build a Box' Initiative

The boxes include ten helpful items for older people living alone. 

A new three year community project aims to make life easier for vulnerable groups. 

'Build a Box' is the brainchild of NUIG's occupational therapy students and is supporting groups like homeless women, mothers in direct provision and children with additional needs .

Third year OT student Niamh O'Connor from Moate has been creating boxes of ten helpful items for older people living alone. 

She says it's a system all community groups could take on board:
