A woman was hospitalised after she was knocked down by a car.
A woman in her 40s has been arrested in connection to an incident that saw a woman hospitalised after she was knocked down by a car in the midlands over the weekend.
The incident took place on Earl Street in Longford on Friday evening at around 7pm.
The injured woman was treated at the scene and then brought to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Mullingar.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The woman who was arrested has since been released without charge pending further enquiries.
